Obituary of Steven John Third

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Steven John Third, born March 6 1961 in Toronto, Ontario. On June 27, after a short battle with cancer Steven passed away the way he lived bravely, fiercely and in his own way. He is survived by his mother Ilene Davis, his father Jack Davis and his siblings Pat Hamments, Sheryl Third, Larry Third, and Kris Davis, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Steven made an impression on many who worked at White Oaks Mall over the years where he would walk daily. He was also one of London Knight’s biggest fans. He and his roommate Russell enjoyed many seasons watching and cheering on our hometown hero’s. Thank you to all involved in having Scorezy visit Steven. Anyone who has had the great honour of meeting Steven was never the same again. He was kind, loving, funny, generous and knew what he wanted. Our family owes much gratitude to Community Living London who have supported Steven for 33 years. A special hug to Joanne and to Russell his roommate all those 33 years. Our family also wants to publicly thank Dr. J Wells who was our angel. She saw Steven as the human being he was and went above and beyond even before their first meeting. Thank you for getting him into his final home Parkwood Palliative Care where Steven was for just a few days. In those days everyone got to know how special Steven was and cared so much for him. We are truly grateful. We are blessed, he was blessed. He was loved and he loved everyone back, no judgment just love. We can learn from him. Everybody loved Steven! A celebration of Steven’s life service will be held on Sunday July 7 at 2pm at the Lambeth Legion Branch 501, 7097 Kilbourne Rd London. Reception to follow.
