Bob is predeceased by his siblings, Ken Reed, Kay Campbell, and Sharon Beauclerc.
Dad was born in Peterborough on October 9, 1935. His fondest childhood memories were working on his grandmother’s farm with his Uncle Mike. Dad was a teacher and principal for over 50 years. In his professional and personal life, Dad used every moment to be a teaching opportunity. He loved all kinds of sports including baseball, golf, hockey and bowling. At the age of 45, he started running. He qualified and ran the Boston Marathon in 1987 at the age of 51.
Dad was a collector of many things. When he was 10 years old, he won first prize at the local fair for his matchbook collection. He continued with his matchbook hobby and at one time had over 175,000 in his collection. Special thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers who provided exceptional care to Bob over the past several years. A private family service has taken place. Our Dad loved milkshakes his entire life. In the last few weeks his eyes would light up when his granddaughter arrived with a milkshake. So, if you knew our sweet Dad, go have a milkshake in honour of him, take some time to invest in someone, and learn something new today.
