Obituary of Sante Pancino

Passed away in his 81st year June 15, 2024 at University hospital in London, with his family by his side. Born in Arzene, Pordenone, Fruili-Venezia Giulia, Italy and raised in his childhood on a small farm in San Martino Al Tagliamento before immigrating to Canada and did what most hard-working, skilled labourers do - his trade was a bricklayer. Sante is survived by brothers Frank, Pierino (Domenica) and sister Fran, children Stephen (Karin) and Christine (Phil) and long-time partner Elrose. Proud Nono of Kaitlyn, Alexandra, Evan and Hailey. An avid gardener with a unique flair for everything that he did; the first one on the dancefloor and the last one to leave. He was happiest on the farm with his horses, on the pitch kicking a ball around, playing cards with Elrose or in the kitchen telling everyone how it is properly done. While his tireless work ethic and physically demanding activities ultimately led to his body failing him, he was immensely proud and found great joy in watching Kaitlyn compete in horse shows, Alex during her dance career, Evan with hockey and football (the other kind) and Hailey following the Azuri spirit on the pitch. At his request there is no funeral or visitation, rather a small gathering of friends and family on July 13th to take place at his son’s property in London.
