Obituary of Delacleta Mahatobel Carter

Peacefully, at home in London, ON surrounded by her family on Wednesday, Feb 21, 2024, in her 92nd year. Survived by her former spouse, Norris Carter. Dear mother of Sharon Carter and Edmarie Carter, both of London. Loving grandmother of Dawson Carter, Hilton Maurer, Cameron Maurer, and Sydney Maurer. Great grandmother of Landon Richardson, Kaplan Richardson, and Lily Maurer. Sister of Nevada "Crete" Watson and Maria "Marie" Wilson. Predeceased by her father, Zephaniah "Ma Zeph" Butler, her mother, Rebecca "Aunt Bec" Rowe, sisters Ettula "Ettie" Butler and Julia "Jules" Scott, and brothers Marnal Butler, Wallin Butler, and Whitmore "Scott" Rowe. She was born in Duanvale, Trelawny, Jamaica on April 22, 1932, and moved to London on October 31st,1963 where she resided ever since. She loved everyone and was loved by all. She enriched the lives of everyone she encountered. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial or service.
