Obituary of Joseph Francis Susko

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph Francis Susko at the age of 71. A loving and devoted husband, father, uncle, and brother-in-law. On September 29th, 2023, Joe passed peacefully in St. Thomas General Hospital in the Continue Care Unit. Born in London on February 12, 1952, to birth mother, Mary Frances Kearley as Joesph Aloysius and at the age of two was adopted by parents Frank and Verlyn Susko. Joe grew up on a farm in Glanworth, where he learned many valuable lessons. Music was a big part of his family and in his younger years he enjoyed playing the drums. Joe completed college and worked as a communications electronics technician. Joe and his wife Beverly shared 51 years together, and raised three children Kenneth, Jennifer, and David and for many years provided a home for several foster children which they enjoyed together. In his later his later years Joe relocated to Port Stanley where he was deeply loved by the community. Joe will be missed by all family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the London Regional Cancer Program and the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Stanley. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses and staff at London Health Sciences Center, the medical team, and staff at St Thomas General Hospital, all the volunteer drivers, and friends who supported the family. A memorial service is being held on Friday October 6th, at 2pm at Christ Church, located on Glanworth Dr, followed by a celebration of life at 3:30pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Stanley.
