Obituary of Lola Enid McCulloch
LOLA ENID McCULLOCH (nee EASTERBROOK)
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
Our beloved, Lola is happily reunited with her predeceased husband Robert (2019) and their boys, Paul Thomas (1964), Robert Jeffery (1972) and Murray Edward (1979).
Lola passed surrounded by loved ones in the early morning of December 18, 2020, just days after her 84th birthday following a 3 year battle with ALS. Lola’s quick wit and strong mind were still present throughout her struggles. She was a loving mother of Colin (Donna), Ian (Sandi) and Carole, and a cherished grandmother of Robert, Jocelyn, Brandon (Samantha), Alexis, Megan, Taylor, Jordyn and Jaymee.
Lola was a loving stay at home mom, while the children were growing up. She always opened her heart and home to many. As well, during this time she spent countless hours volunteering her time as a Brownie and Girl Guide leader where she helped to shape the lives of many young girls. She continued her life as a seamstress at McCulloch’s Costumes and Dancewear.
Lola was an active member within the Dundas Street Centre United Church, Medway Community Centre, Kilworth United Church and the square dancing community. She enjoyed travelling, camping and many years as a Winter Texan. Everywhere she went, she took the opportunity to make new friends.
Due to COVID pandemic restrictions, a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Lola’s life will NOT be possible at this time. By request, Lola wishes that expressions of sympathy and donations go to the Kilworth United Church on 2442 Oxford Street West, London, Ontario, email hzanin@rogers.com or go to www.canadahelps.org (search Kilworth Church).
Special thanks to the ParaMed PSW’s, VON, ALS Society, ProResp and the University Hospital ALS specialists for all their care and support.
